The Chelmsford City FC Community Programme

The Chelmsford City FC Community Programme has been steadily expanding over the last few years since the club moved back to Chelmsford with the ground at Melbourne .

Community Officer Chris Finch and community coaches Liam Daniels and Laurence Wells and a number of casual coaches have a high profile in local schools. In these days of x boxes,wii consoles and Satelite TV and on top of that a climate of fear over letting children out of your sight, we provide a safe, fun environment for children to get some exercise and learn new skills.

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE THE BEST, JUST THE BEST THAT YOU CAN BE"

 Above is our catch phrase and it sums up our attitude to children in sport, just do the best you can.

We now come in to contact with around 1000 children each week, all of whom are potential Chelmsford City supporters. Many get their first experience of a “proper football match” through the free ticket promotions during our Summer and Easter soccer courses.
