Essex County Girls' Football League, Under 15 Division. Redbridge 2 Chelmsford City 4 City travelled to Redbridge knowing that a win in their final league outing of the season would guarantee third spot. Chelmsford returned to action hoping to put back to back league and cup defeats at the hands of Southend Manor behind them. A win today would have almost sealed second place in the league, but it wasn't to be. In an evenly contested first half, City twice went close to scoring. Chelmsford maintained their 100% record with this emphatic win in Canvey Island. The game started evenly and although City played the better football, neither side could open the scoring during the first period. A change of formation and the introduction of debutant Katy Aldis made a huge difference to City and they opened the scoring after 5 minutes of the second half.
