Clarets Chairman Mansell Wallace intends to draw a line under last season and focus on the new campaign with optimism at a pair of ‘Storm in a Teacup’ supporters forums next Thursday (17th May) from 7:30pm at the Clubhouse.

Club Members will be briefed on recent Clarets progress and future plans in a meeting at 7:30pm in the Don Walker Suite, which will be followed by a full and open debate for all fans in the downstairs bar from 8:30pm. Mansell has invited supporters to pose any questions so they can be informed while there are no games.

“Our fans are incredibly loyal, and we’ve just reached the end of a long season,” he explained. “With so much going on at the club right now, it’s vital that we keep in touch at all times. There are several rumours doing the rounds at the moment, some of which may have foundations and others which are quite incorrect. I want the opportunity to reinforce the truths to our fans in person and set some records straight.”

“We’ll be meeting with our official members upstairs first, then I look forward to seeing as many supporters as possible for the open forum at 8:30pm. There have been reports in a local paper about players’ wages which have been blown out of all proportion - it’s a storm in a teacup. These forums are on a Thursday, so we’ll all be able to talk over the latest edition together!”
