City will have new striker Tosan Popo available to face Basingstoke Town away this Saturday (kick-off 3:00pm) after the 19-year-old completed his move on loan from Charlton Athletic for a period up to and including Saturday 14th January.

Popo, a forward noted for his composed finishing who has appeared at Chelsea and West Ham United earlier in his career, will be eligible to feature until the Truro City league trip in mid-January. He was part of the youth system at Stamford Bridge from the Under 9s to the Under 12s and joined the Hammers two years later, where he spent a further three seasons.

Last term he signed his first professional contract with the Addicks, making his full First Team debut in the Carling Cup this September against Preston North End. He’ll add options to Glenn Pennyfather’s injury hit squad, which sees forward Cliff Akurang struggling to shake off a knock in time for the trip to Camrose at the weekend.
