City and Macclesfield Town have a Premier League incentive to advance through Wednesday 14th December’s FA Cup Second Round Replay, with Owen Coyle’s Bolton Wanderers waiting in the wings to visit the winning club.

Glenn Pennyfather’s Clarets drew 1-1 with the Silkmen on Saturday afternoon at Melbourne and now make the trip to Cheshire with a huge reward available for the victors. Wanderers, from the Reebok Stadium, are an established top flight club with recent European experience and multi-million-pound players.

Should Chelmsford progress, Chairman, Mansell Wallace wants the game to be played at Melbourne Park. Temporary stands will be erected to increase capacity to 6000.

Names are currently being taken for coach travel to the Macclesfield replay. Departure the Clubhouse at 1:15pm and opposite the County Hotel at 1:30pm. The return fare will be £20 for adults and £10 for under 16s and details on seat availability can be obtained from Mark Fleming on (07506) 873741.
