Tuesday 1st November 2011, The Abbey Business Stadium, Kick-Off 7:45pm, FA Cup with Budweiser Fourth Qualifying Round Replay.

Clarets Manager Glenn Pennyfather thinks he’s gained sufficient knowledge about Gloucester City to execute a replay win on Tuesday, kick-off 7:45pm, as his Chelmsford City side aim to move into the First Round Proper at the second attempt and book a home tie against AFC Telford United at the next stage.

Chelmsford had to come from behind to remain in the competition at Melbourne Stadium at the weekend but Pennyfather believes the conditions will suit his squad second time around. The Blue Square Bet North outfit will also fancy their chances of picking-up the five-figure prize money sum if they win, though they will meet a Clarets team in confident mood.

“Sides learn a lot about each other when they meet and we know that if we keep it tight in the right areas we have the firepower to win the game,” Glenn said. “We’re on good form, as a whole both in the league and the cup, and we’ve not been beaten since the Dover game back in September. We are building a good run and the squad can absorb a few knocks now.”

Pennyfather has a number of players to assess in fitness tests before settling on his starting eleven. Right-back Justin Miller left the weekend’s game early with a knock and winger Greg Morgan was also substituted having suffered his own slight injury. Skipper David Rainford will again be examined to see if he’s recovered sufficiently to feature in the centre of midfield while there are concerns about striker Kezie Ibe which could have a bearing.

The replay was booked when Kenny Clark levelled in injury time after Will Morford prodded the visitors into a 45th-minute lead and Glenn recalled: “Saturday’s match would have been a very different story if the penalty had gone in - not that it was a dreadful penalty, the ‘keeper’s made a great save. They steadily grew into the match after that but we have another chance to progress, we go to Gloucester with no fears and we know the surface will suit our game.”
