City fans eager to add the official claret 2010/11 replica shirt to their collection only have to wait a short while longer before they can become the first to get their hands on one of a limited batch of the new design at Friday’s home friendly with Stevenage.
New kit suppliers Errea are primed to deliver the first of the claret replicas, which include a white wave caressing the right shoulder as well as gold piping and white trim elsewhere. Away shirts will also be available in predominantly white with claret trim nearer the start of the season. The kit is expected to act as an ideal pre-cursor to what promises to be another exciting campaign as Graham Westley brings his newly-promoted npower Football League Two squad to Melbourne Stadium for a 7:30pm kick-off.
Part of the ‘Tonic’ range and sponsored by Chandler Material Supplies, the shirt will cost £35 for adults and £30 for youths. ‘Early Bird’ Season Ticket Holders who applied before the end of May are entitled to a 20% discount and all other Holders can claim their own 10% discount. Chairman, Mansell Wallace, said: “After last year’s kit problems we’re so pleased to have the 2010 replicas available for our first home game this season. They’re ‘proper’ claret too, so I hope they go down well on the terraces!”
Pre-Season Admission Prices: City have confirmed the traditional reduction to admission prices for the home pre-season friendlies will again apply this season, with the single exception of the Bradford City clash on Saturday 24th July.
The Clarets are scheduled to meet Football League outfit Stevenage at home this Friday night, kick-off 7:30pm, and a Leyton Orient XI at Melbourne next Wednesday, 21st July. For each of these games, adults can gain entry for £5, while concessions get in for £2 and Under 14s for free. For the Bradford City match only, adults will pay £7 and concessions £3, while Under 14s can again enter the fixture free of charge.
Season Ticket Holders who secured their ticket prior to the end of June will be able to gain entry to the Stevenage and Orient games for free though the Bradford match will require admission money due to the ‘shared gate’ nature of the fixture. Holders will be able to collect their season tickets at the turnstiles for the Stevenage game, or from the Clubhouse after noon this Thursday. The Clarets’ remaining friendlies include:
