Price Freeze on Season Tickets Before Monday 31st May

Preparations for the 2010/11 season at Chelmsford City FC are now officially underway after the release of the official player retained list for Head Coach Glenn Pennyfather to build on plus exciting news about a price freeze on season tickets until the end of May.

Pennyfather’s second campaign as a boss in his own right will begin with at least eight of his current successful squad lining-up again next season, including reigning Young Player of the Year Mark Haines in defence. Amongst the midfielders who will remain are John Martin, Dave Rainford, Matthew Lock, Anthony Cook and Ricky Modeste while Rob Edmans and Ricky Holmes will continue to contend for places up-front.

Aside from the release of long-serving midfielder Ollie Berquez and the culmination of striker Warren McBean’s loan from Bromley, the rest of the squad have been invited back to pre-season training as Glenn aims to finish as high in the Blue Square South table as possible following last season’s near miss in the play-off semi-finals against Bath City.

Meanwhile, fans can purchase their new season ticket at the same price as last time if they complete an application by Monday 31st May. Prices have been frozen until then, with admission prices due to rise by a modest amount as the new campaign begins. What’s more, season ticket holders will also be entitled to a 20% discount on replica shirts as a thank you for the patience shown during last season’s inconveniences.

This year’s season tickets will comprise a book of vouchers for the applicable games as opposed to the normal card system and purchases before Tuesday 30th June will qualify applicants for free admission to all of City’s home pre-season friendly fixtures where a split gate doesn’t apply. Supporters who don’t wish to take up the option of the pre-season friendly offer will need to submit their application form and payment to the club by Saturday 31st July to guarantee receiving their ticket before the season begins.

The regular Blue Square South season will begin on Saturday 14th August 2010 and is scheduled to finish on Saturday 30th April 2011 (excluding potential play-off games). Full details of the season ticket offer can be found by following this link.
