Eastern Region Womens League Premier Division, played at Easton College, Norwich, Norfolk on Sunday 28th March 2010, kick-off 2.00 pm.

Windy conditions greeted both teams with Chelmsford adapting very well with their close passing game  which them take an early lead against a shell shocked home side.

Emma Ridings and Sarah Jolly had already gone close before good link up play between Helen Alder and Jolly culminated in Georgia Wheate calmly slotting the ball into the net. City constantly threatened on set pieces but were unable to add to their slender one goal lead, Hethersett coming close to equalising just before the half time whistle but City went into the break with the advantage.

City started the second half at a quick pace and a Ridings saw her low cross whip across the face of the goal with no-one able to get the final touch. City extended there lead when a Jolly cross found its way into the back of the net and from that moment on, City's midfield ensured that Hethersett’s top goal scorer was kept at bay.

City continuously looked dangerous  and made two changes bringing on Jasmine Wheeler and new signing Stacey Turner to add extra fresh legs. Both had an immediate impact when an incisive Michelle Davis ball to  Wheeler saw her take on the defence and the keeper to drill an unstoppable shot into the top right hand corner.

City's keeper Jade Parker was quick of her line to deny the home forwards twice while at the other end, Kerri Binks hita long range free kick which cannoned off the cross bar.

Grainne Mclaughlin went close with a header and Ridings blasted wide as they continued to dominate and the home teams cause was made worse when they had a player sent off for Violent contact.

City were persistent and made their numerical advantage pay off towards the end, Ridings set Turner on her way to score on her debut with a well taken goal.
