City boss Glenn Pennyfather has welcomed his latest signing in the shape of highly-rated former AFC Wimbledon winger, Anthony Finn, who completed his move to Melbourne this afternoon having recently departed fellow Blue Square South club Welling United.
The 27-year-old won the league with the Dons last season and has been sought-after by many other clubs due to his exciting brand of attacking prowess. With an ability to both score and create goals, Anthony can play on either wing or in a more advanced role and his other former clubs include Metropolitan Police, Gravesend & Northfleet, Hayes and Colliers Wood United. He will be available for tomorrow’s game against Weymouth.
Head Coach Pennyfather was delighted with his arrival and explained: “He’s a fantastic acquisition for us. He knows what it takes to do well in this league and he’s been part of a winning team. Tony was excellent last season and I’ve always been an admirer of his so when he became available after leaving Welling I was only too happy to bring him here. He can play on both flanks, in behind the strikers or up-top so he’s versatile too.”
