A Chelmsford City eleven consisting mainly of Reserve Team players and a small handful of triallists succeeded in recording a late victory in Wednesday night’s friendly against Essex Senior League side Witham Town at Spa Road.  The fixture was arranged at short notice to allow both sides to benefit from valuable match practice and two strikes towards the end of proceedings meant the visitors enjoyed the formalities of a 2-0 scoreline. Ollie Berquez and Ricky Modeste were amongst the First Team players involved in the match.
