Another Brace of Braces

Chelmsford Youth League

Chelmsford City          6         v          Kelvendon Hatch       0

City dominated the game from the start with City’s continuous passing making it difficult for Kelvendon to get into the game. The first goal came early in the first half with a fine cross into the box from Alfie Cutbush allowing Ollie Ellis an easy volley to score. The next goal came from a great pass from Jack Barry straight to Alfie Cutbush which he put straight in the back of the goal. A few minutes later Alfie found himself in space and calmly scored his second. Ore Kane stepped up to the mark with a strong shot a long way out beat the Kelvendon keeper making it 4.0 at half time.

City continued to dominate the game in the second half, Kelvendon had a good chance with a hard and high shot from one of their strikers made Nathan Williamson perform a great save. Ollie scored his second soon after with another Ollie / Alfie move. Elliott Howson and Sam Faulkner kept Kelvendon at bay at the back with some good tackling and calm play.

An extra 15 minutes was played and City swapped the team around giving players different positions putting Tom Clements and Oliver Ingrouille up front, all of them held their positions well and weren’t going to be beaten. Nathan now playing as a striker found himself in space in front of goal and coolly scored his first goal for City.

Man of the match Elliott Howson.
