Return to Form

Chelmsford Youth League

Chelmsford City          7         v          Intersports      0

City started strong giving Intersports little chance to get into the game, some great passing ended with Jack Barry scoring a fine goal from outside the box. City continued to dominate the game with another great shot from outside the box saw Alfie Cutbush scoring, shortly after another fine move from City put Ore Kane through to score. Then came the best move of the match a good goal kick from Nathan Williamson found Jack who then took on and beat two players whilst running down the wing then crossing the ball into the box with Ollie Ellis volleying the ball into the net.

The second half started the way the 1st had finish with City continuing to pass and move and dominating the game. Elliot Howson and Sam Faulkner kept Intersports attacks at bay with some good tackling. City’s midfield still dominated the game and after another move saw Alfie crossing the ball in to the box giving Ollie an easy finish, shortly followed by Alfie getting his second. Then towards the end of the game a good pass saw Ollie on his own running into the box and scoring his hat trick.

A further fifteen minutes was played at the end of the game and City swapped a lot of players around Oliver Ingrouille had a couple of chances with one hitting the post eventually his persistence paid off and he scored with the keeper diving too late and giving him his first goal of the season. Ollie then got his fourth of the game. The crowd was willing Tom clements on to score but it just wasn’t his day this time. With some great individual play saw Alfie on his own with only the keeper to beat he performed a great dummy sending the keeper the wrong way and coolly put the ball in the back of the net giving him his hat trick
