Businesses who could only previously dream of becoming the official Chelmsford City FC shirt sponsors will be as close as ever in 2010/11 after the club unveiled details of a special draw where a £500 punt could land someone the prestigious deal.
Companies and groups are being invited to take part in the raffle-based arrangement where a single payment of £500 will gain one entry into the limited, 100-ticket draw for sponsorship rights on the First Team’s kit as well as all replica shirts sold during the campaign. The deal would normally be valued in the region of £25,000 so demand is expected to reach epic levels quickly, especially with backup prizes also lined-up.
With sponsorship becoming more difficult to secure each year in harsh economic times, but with local business participation increasing, City opted to present all local companies with the opportunity to have their logo on the front of the team’s shirts, which appear on the Official Website (7,000+ hits per week) and the front cover of the award-winning programme, as well as local papers the Essex Chronicle and the Weekly News.
In addition to the back pages of newspapers in every home in the Chelmsford area, City also feature in the popular monthly Balance Life and Grassroots Magazines, increasing the business profile of the shirt sponsor. That’s without mentioning the thousands of fans who see the Clarets at home and on their travels across the Country.
The club and team also promote themselves throughout the County Town during the season, with 70 poster sites, a distribution list of over 3,000 and newspaper adverts which all add extra value and brand awareness. What’s more, everyone entering the draw will be acknowledged in the programme for the entire season and everyone’s logo will appear above the clubhouse doors, as well as the entitlement to a matchday meal for two.
The ticket price is £500+VAT each and there will be a limited number of 100 tickets available to buy, with no limit to how many you can purchase in one go. All tickets must be paid for prior to the draw or they will not be entered. The draw will be held at the Clubhouse on 23rd June 2010 at 2:45pm, just before the England game.
Questions, queries or ticket purchases should be directed to Aaron Desmond, Commercial Manager, on (01245) 290959 or via E-Mail at aaron.desmond@chelmsfordcityfc.com
